Service Description: <div style='&apos;text-align:Left;'><p style='&apos;margin:0cm'>This dataset contains point features that are a depiction of the monitoring locations for the NSW State Water Quality Assessment and Monitoring Program (SWAMP).</p><p style='&apos;margin:0cm'>SWAMP is a state-wide program to collect, analyse and report water quality in NSW rivers. It has operated since 2007 and collects data from ~140 sites across 13 different regions on a monthly basis.</p><p style='&apos;margin:0cm'>SWAMP collects water quality data to:</p><ul><li>Assess ambient river water quality in terms of electrical conductivity, temperature, turbidity, total suspended solids, pH, dissolved oxygen, phosphorus and nitrogen at selected sites across NSW</li><li>Provide high quality, long term, statistically robust data to enable river condition and trend reporting</li><li>Provide data to enable measures of compliance with state and national guidelines and standards, and</li><li>Provide a framework of state-wide river water quality monitoring across NSW upon which other programs can build.</li></ul><p style='&apos;margin:0cm'>For more information please see <a href='&amp;apos' style='&apos;color:rgb(0,'>SWAMP on SEED</a>.</p><p style='&apos;margin:0cm'>This data is used for:</p><ul><li>Annual SWAMP reporting</li><li>Updating the River Condition Index</li><li>Matter 12 (reported every 5 years)</li><li>Basin Technical reports</li><li>Water Quality Index</li><li>Water Sharing Plan risk assessments</li></ul><p style='&apos;margin-top:0px;'><span style='&apos;font-family:&amp;quot;Avenir'>The data contains the River Condition Index target values for the unique water quality zone that each site is located in. Please refer to the method document for more details:</span></p><div><a href='&amp;apos' target='&apos;_blank&apos;'>Targets to develop a water quality index for NSW rivers - River condition index.pdf</a></div><p style='&apos;margin:12pt'>All water quality data are collected and archived by Water NSW. All data are generated according to documented procedures for collecting samples, providing quality control samples and the preservation and transport of samples as recommended in Australia Standard AS/NZS 5667.1.1998 water quality sampling. All procedures are based on, and comply with, recognised departmental and external standards to ensure that the project delivers data of the highest possible standard. Level of data audit is a review of summary results, by comparing the data to previous minimum and maximum data, considering what is reasonable for that parameter in that general location, and comparing lab and field data for the same parameter from the same sampling date to see if variance is reasonable. Full details describing location, date and other attributes of water samples are recorded and all instruments are regularly serviced and calibrated. All laboratories analysis is undertaken at a NATA accredited laboratory. Where a laboratory result is less than the detectable limit for a parameter, the detection limit has been used for analysis.</p><p style='&apos;margin:12pt'> </p><p style='&apos;margin:12pt'>Lineage:</p><p style='&apos;margin:0cm'><span style='&apos;font-family:Arial,'>The point dataset was created on 15/12/2025 from site information from Water NSW Water Quality database. The 75th percentiles for the measured parameters are the River Condition Index target values for the unique water quality zone that each site is located in. The targets were calculated using the 2007 to 2020 data.</span></p><p><span></span></p></div>
